Very easy to follow the crystal clear comprehensive instructions, inspite of my low-level knowledge of computer technology. The best way to transfer the images is with a USB memory card reader. You can find them for around $10 in almost any store… Even the grocery store I go to has them next to the batteries and blank CDs.
Here is the work flow I follow:
1) Format the memory card with the camera before using it for the first time
2) Take photos/video
3)Download the memory card content to your computer using a USB card reader if the computer does not have a built-in card reader
4)Verify the transfer was a success
5)Back up the files on your computer to another hard drive (or CDs)
6)Format the memory card with your camera (and not with the computer)
2) Take photos/video

Do this at the end of every day that you take photos/video

When I used the card reader my memory card was damaged by taking it in and out of the camera so often and eventually stopped working. I'd used less than 5% of the card capacity when it stopped working and it had cost ne £80, so I'd prefer to stick to using a cable in future as I can't afford to keep buying new cards. .
